  I am so upset, I took my parrot to the Ballito Vet in Ballito drive yesterday to trim her beak. She was quiet the whole day yesterday after they grinded her beak (not like herself to be so quiet), so I thought maybe she is feeling abit sick or under the weather. That evening I was giving her attention and then I saw this is what her beak looks like on the one side. I was very upset because she went for her beak many times before and this has never happened. I then went back to the Vet very upset today because I had a bad experience with the Vet before because they booked me with the incorrect doctor. The guy that was holding her was holding her too tight around her neck and she was screaming, the doctor also told me she doesn't trust herself doing my parrots beak but insisted to do her feathers and nails. They basically told me they never did anything wrong and said "she must have scratched her beak open like this" !!! They didn't give me my money back but they gave me medicine which I then saw when I got home that they had given me chloramphenicol eye ointment that I googled and you obviously cannot use on a parrots beak. The doctor that spoke to me also told me that he's just a normal vet and doesn't know anything about parrots!!! My poor baby is in alot of pain and she isn't eating and also stretching her beak continously, which she only started doing since the visit to the vet. Which clearly shows she's in pain and discomfort. I am so upset and will never go back there again 😠😠😠😠
